The hikers arrived at different times at the Lake Colden Outpost between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m., and only one of the group had a headlamp. Forest Rangers Recover Body of Missing Man in the Catskills

Forestburgh search and recovery April 2023On March 31th, five New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Forest Rangers responded to a request for assistance in the search for a subject who went missing after off-roading with a friend on March 29th in the Catskills town of Forestburgh, Sullivan County.  The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department and New York State Police (NYSP) K9 units were also on scene.
