Museum Program Professional Development Grants

Dutchess, Schoharie County Info Sessions for Preservation Grants

old stone fortNot-for-profit groups and municipalities have been invited to attend one of two free information sessions on Technical Assistance Grants (TAG), a grant program of the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and the Preservation League.

The League’s Manager of Technical & Grant Programs, Frances Gubler, will explain the requirements of the grants, the process of applying, and discuss some successful previous applicants. Museum Planning, Travel Grants Available

MANY LogoThe New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) has provided $102,000 to be distributed by the Museum Association of New York (MANY) between January 1, 2015 and June 30, 2015.

Update On MANY’s 2015 Legislative Priorities

MANY LogoThe Museum Association of New York (MANY) has announced that the Museum Education Act is ready for introduction in the New York State Legislature and has outlined its priorities for 2015, including support for the Commission on New York State History Bill.

“We have held a series of meetings with the staff of the Office of Cultural Education and finalized the language of the [museum education] bill as well as planned a strategy with them for the 2015 Legislative Session,” an announcement to supporters said.
