Tim Youd Retyping Ironweed By William Kennedy

Tim YoudLos Angeles-based artist Tim Youd is set to retype Ironweed by Pulitzer Prize winning author, journalist, and screen writer William Kennedy at the Albany Institute of History & Art, as part of the artist’s ongoing project 100 Novels in which he retypes novels from beginning to end in locations that are charged with literary significance in the author’s biography. Ironweed 30th Anniversary Screening, Celebration

still-shot-from-ironweedThe film IRONWEED, adapted for the screen by William Kennedy from his Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, will be shown on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 7 pm in Page Hall, 135 Western Avenue, on the University at Albany downtown campus. The screening is a 30th anniversary celebration of its filming in Albany. Prior to the screening at 6:30 pm Kennedy will offer film commentary and reminiscences of the film’s production.
