New Bluefish Recreational Fishing Regulations
DEC has adopted new recreational possession limits for bluefish of three fish for private vessel and shore-based anglers, and five fish for anglers fishing from for-hire vessels. There is no restriction on minimum size or season. These regulations are consistent with neighboring states and in federal waters, 3–200 nautical miles offshore. Raccoons Seized From Manhattan Apartment
NYS Environmental Conservation Officers Alexander Shea and Brendan Dickson reported that they responded to a complaint about raccoon cubs being kept in an apartment in Manhattan on April 29th.

Swiftwater Rescue at West Stony Creek
On Monday, May 4 at 12:30 pm, while conducting a fly-over patrol, New York State Police Aviation noticed a vehicle in West Stony Creek in the Town of Benson, in Hamilton County.
State Police notified DEC Forest Ranger Lt. Dave Kallen, who responded to the location and found a 61-year-old man from Northville trapped in a vehicle about 25 feet from shore down a 15-foot embankment. [Read more…] about Swiftwater Rescue at West Stony Creek
