Man Plans 200+ Mile Otsego County Thru-Hike for Charity

Tom WalshTom Walsh, a 65-year-old hiker and cancer survivor, is planning to walk to all 20 state forests in Otsego County as well as five Otsego Land Trust conservation areas on a continuous thru-hike that will cover more than 200 miles. Skaneateles Lake Watershed Property Protected by Easement

Casa Farms (provided by ryan walters)The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and the Finger Lakes Land Trust (FLLT) have announced the permanent protection of 234 acres at Casa Farms in the town of Niles, Cayuga County, with a conservation easement.
