Schuyler Sisters & Their Circle Exhibit in Albany
The Albany Institute of History & Art has announced the opening of the exhibit “The Schuyler Sisters & Their Circle,” set to run through December 29th, 2019.
Made famous by the Tony Award-winning musical Hamilton: An American Musical, the Schuyler sisters Angelica, Elizabeth, and Margaret (Peggy) were fascinating characters in American history and played significant roles in the life of Alexander Hamilton.

Lecture on Albany’s Brunner-Lay Plan of 1914
The Albany Institute of History & Art is set to host a lecture on the Brunner-Lay Plan of 1914 with professor emeritus John Pipkin.
The lecture explores the book Studies for Albany, released in 1914, which contains the observations and improvements proposed by architect Arnold Brunner and landscape architect Charles Downing Lay for the city of Albany, part of the City Beautiful movement.

Jewelry Appraisals Event At Albany Institute
The Albany Institute of History & Art is set to host a Jewelry Appraisal Day in partnership with Mark Lawson Antiques on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 10:30 am to 2 pm.
Interested participants are welcome to come to the museum to have local appraiser Mark Lawson and a team of certified gemologists appraise the market value of jewelries. The Albany Institute of History & Art is set to offer free admission for seniors (62+) on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 10 am to 3 pm.
The Albany Institute invites seniors to explore the museum’s galleries throughout the day.
