August 25, 2023 by Bob Cudmore Leave a Comment

Witness to the RevolutionHundreds of men from Orange County, NY, the setting for the novel, served in the rebel militia. However, many residents remained loyal to King George III. Both sides had spy networks. Many in the county were divided within families.

This week on the Historians Podcast, Kiersten Marcil talks about her American Revolution historical novel Witness to the Revolution (Champagne Book Group, 2023). The novel’s two main characters are Savannah Moore from modern times and Revolutionary War Captain Jonathan Wythe.

Marcil, who lives n Rotterdam Junction, NY, belongs to the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her DAR involvement pushed her on in writing a historical novel.
