May 25, 2023 by Editorial Staff Leave a Comment

U&DRRC train layout The Mountain Top Historical Society of Greene County presents “A History of Lionel Trains” with Ron Gabriele on Sunday, June 11th at 1 pm. This presentation will be held at the historic Ulster and Delaware Railroad  (U&D) Train Station on the MTHS campus in Haines Falls.

Working model train demonstrations will be presented by  Gabriele, and by Larry Roth from the U&D Railway Revitalization Corp. of Phoenicia. There will also be an exhibit of railroad photos and memorabilia. Join us for a fun-filled afternoon for train enthusiasts of all ages!

For more than 100 years, Lionel Trains has captured the hearts and stirred the imaginations of young and old.

The Mountain Top Historical Society mission is to discover, preserve, interpret, and share the Greene County Mountain Tops’s unique history, culture and geology with residents as well as visitors from around the world.

The mission is reflected on our website, www.mths.org, our Facebook page and our Instagram account where we share the latest information about our programming, hikes and archival activities. $5 donation is suggested for adults. Registration required. Please email mthsdirector@mths.org or call (518) 589-6657.
