The Friends of Schoharie Crossing has announced “Palatine Germans in the Mohawk Valley,” a virtual program set for Thursday, March 16th.
As part of the 3rd Annual Third Thursday Winter Lecture Series, Kathryn Weller of the NYS Museum will discuss the emigration of mostly German families from the Palatine region of Europe into the Hudson and Mohawk Valleys of New York during the early decades of the 1700s. Attendees will discover the impact of this immigration into colonial America and its lasting impact on the region.
