Bob Cudmore’s 2022 History Topics Review

This week on The Historians Podcast, host Bob Cudmore takes a look at some of the topics he covered in his weekly Focus on History columns in 2022 in the Daily Gazette and Amsterdam Recorder newspapers. 

Topics included the Fulton County courthouse, built when New York was still a colony in 1772, the oldest operating courthouse in the state; Ukrainians who settled in Amsterdam, NY; Lafayette’s visit to Fort Hunter on the Erie Canal in 1825; a memoir about growing up in the leather industry; memories of an Amsterdam firefighter and a book about yesterday’s tools.
