Warren County Historical Society Creates Publishing Division

October 12, 2022 by Editorial Staff Leave a Comment

warren county historical societyThe Warren County Historical Society has created the Warren History Press imprint as a publishing division in furtherance of its goals of promoting the rich history of Warren County, NY.

The society has published a number of books in the past but by providing a dedicated part of its operation to publishing more original and formerly published historic collections, it opens up opportunities for new writers in Warren County and elsewhere, to have a dedicated vehicle in which to publish their historical research, reference, or novels.

Current offerings can be found on the society’s website or by stopping in at their bookstore at 50 Gurney Lane in Queensbury.

Writers who are working on books of interest, or have a book idea, can contact Don Rittner, Executive Director, at execdir@wcnyhs.org, or Dr. Stan Cianfarano at publications@wcnyhs.org. Or call the Society at (518) 743-0734.

The mission of the Warren County Historical Society (WCHS) is to promote the history of Warren County, New York and its environs by supporting research and preservation efforts and encouraging public participation. The historical society was chartered in 1997 by the New York State Education Department for the collection, preservation, and promotion of the heritage of Warren County. The Society offers a permanent exhibit as well as temporary displays, historical collections and archives, a comprehensive resource center, publications, a book and gift shop, an oral history project, community history and culture initiatives, and a student internship program.
