13th Annual Garlic Festival in Warrensburgh Friday

Thirteenth Annual Garlic Festival at the Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers' MarketThe Thirteenth Annual Garlic Festival at the Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market in Warren County, NY will be held this Friday, October 7th from 3 to 6 pm.

Many varieties of certified organic and naturally grown garlic will be sold for planting and consumption.

Adirondack Harvest (formerly Caldwell Country Farm) will feature Caramelized Onion and Roasted Garlic Jam, Garlic Fudge and Black Garlic – a concentrated form of garlic that boosts the immune system. Grá den Talún Farm offering unusual varieties of garlic. Hope Valley Farm’s Pickled Garlic Scapes and Garlic Pesto. Hilton Family Farm Stand’s famous Chuck’s Garlic Dill Pickles.

Horticultural information and recipes will be provided by CCE of Warren County. A Garlicky Food Contest will feature free sampler plates, participants should provide at least one copy of the recipe.

Warren County Farms and Local Businesses include: Adirondack Gold Maple Farm, Adirondack Harvest (organically grown produce and preserves), Birdy’s Designs (copper wired gemstone jewelry and plants in ceramic containers by Robin Hansen), Baking A Scene (local artisan creations by Jennifer McNeill), Calico Corner (fabric crafts by Elizabeth Marshall), Coffee with a Cause (Pastor Aaron Spoonhour of the First Baptist Church of Warrensburg – locally roasted coffee beans), Country Creations (fabric crafts by Victoria Lehet), Dawn’s Delights (baked goods, salads, authentic Italian tomato sauce, local honey), For the Love of Rocks (sterling silver gemstone jewelry by Linda O’Neil), Glens Falls Distillery, Grá den Talún Farm (garlic varieties), Hilton Family Farm Stand (local produce, pickles, Rachael’s Breads), Nettle Meadow Cheese Farm, North Country Microgreens (produce, Hope Valley Farm garlic varieties), Seeds of Wisdom by Sheila (salves, essential oils and Native American Craftwork), Springbrook Hollow Farm Distillery, TanyaArtCo (paintings, felt creatures and scarves by Tanya Sawn), Trillium Farm (chicken and duck eggs) and more.

A free garlic and Halloween themed Children’s Seasonal Craft Workshop will be led by Shelby Burkhardt, Director, Richards Library. George Parrot will play live music in the gazebo.
