Rick Reynolds, Ballston Town Historian, will lead a tour of the site on Ballston Lake, which from 1901-1927 was home to the Forest Park amusement park. This was a “destination vacation” for people of the time as well as a popular place for Saratoga County locals.
The tour will include the layout of the park as well as some of the buildings and structures that still exist today. This is a walking tour of approximately one mile total on mostly level land and takes place in wooded areas some of the time.
This tour will begin at 10 am, at 62 West Side Drive in Ballston Lake next to the closed Carney’s Restaurant. There is a suggested donation of $10 per registration. For more information or to register, click here.
