The backpacks are part of the Adirondack Land Trust’s “Adirondack Birding for All” program, which is working with the libraries to increase awareness and appreciation of Adirondack birds and their habitats.

The backpacks include high-quality Vortex HD binoculars, the Sibley Guide to Birds of Eastern North America, Adirondack Birding — 60 Great Places to Find Birds in the Adirondacks, and helpful information on how to use binoculars.

For more information, visit the Keene Valley Public Library, located at 1796 NY-73, or Saranac Lake library, located at 109 Main Street, email contact info@adirondacklandtrust.org, or call (518) 576-2400.
