The Preservation League of New York State will host “Public Art x Preservation,” a virtual panel discussion exploring the intersections of public art and historic preservation, set for Tuesday, June 14th.
This discussion will feature practitioners who will explore how public art initiatives can be used to directly support preservation efforts by drawing attention to historic sites and engaging with their communities in interesting ways.
Featured speakers include: Meredith Sorin-Horsford, Executive Director at Dyckman Farmhouse Museum; Mallory Rukhsana Nezam, Founder & creative consultant, Justice + Joy Consulting | Co-founder, CAIR Lab | Curator of Partnerships and Programs, FORWARD; Naomi Hersson-Ringskog, AICP, Co-Founder & Board Member of No Longer Empty | Founder of Department of Small Interventions; and moderated by Franklin Vagnone, Principal at Twisted Preservation | CEO of Old Salem Museums & Gardens and The Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts.
