Summer 2022 marks 75 years of New York State’s Environmental Education Summer Camps and current and former campers, staff, sponsors, families, and partners are being invited to join in on an upcoming celebration.
Each camp will host an anniversary event, on a Saturday in June or July. Attendees will enjoy camp activities, games, and crafts, along with a chance to share memories and be a part of this historical year.
Pack Forest in Chestertown, Warren County, will kick off the celebrations on Saturday, June 18th. Camp Rushford in Caneadea, Allegany County, will celebrate on Saturday, July 23rd and Camp DeBruce in Livingston Manor, Sullivan County, will host an event on Saturday, July 30th. (Camp Colby in Saranac Lake, Franklin County, will remain closed for renovations in 2022.)
If you would like to attend and/or share your memories, follow NYSDEC Education Camps Facebook page or email EducationCamps@dec.ny.gov.
