Ann Larsen Solo Exhibit in Old Forge March 26th

1-AnnLarsen_ New England Winter_20x24_oilView, the Center for Arts and Culture in Old Forge, will open a new exhibition by Ann Larsen, titled “A Painter’s Journey,” highlighting some of the landscapes Larsen has painted along her travels across the country, on display from March 26th through May 7th.

Ann Larsen began traveling and living throughout the United States at the age of 18. After studying at Indiana University, the Rhode Island School of Design, and finally receiving a Bachelor of Art degree while living in Oklahoma, her family relocated to Denver, giving her a chance to paint across the west, from Colorado to California.

Larsen is a Signature Member of Oil Painters of American, Signature Member of American Impressionist Society and an Out of State Artist Member of the California Art Club. Her work has been in over 90 exhibitions and museum shows in which her awards include but not limited to; two Awards of Excellence from OPA Eastern Regional Exhibitions; Silver Medal as a Master Signature, American Women Artists National Exhibition and Best Landscape. Larsen will be the Award’s Judge for View at this year’s Central Adirondack Art Show.

The Opening Reception for A Painter’s Journey will be held on April 22nd along with the Central Adirondack Art Show and other current exhibits. There will be a View Member and Exhibiting Artist Preview at 4 pm, then will open to the public from 5 to 7 pm. View is open 10 am to 4 pm, Monday through Saturday.
