Every fall, chickadees hide tens of thousands of food items, counting on these “cached” seeds to see them through harsh winters.
The Cornell Lab of Ornithology will host “How Chickadees Use Their Memory to Survive Harsh Winters,” a free webinar set for Tuesday, January 11th.
In this program researchers Carrie Branch and Benjamin Sonnenberg will look at how Mountain Chickadees make it through winter using their incredible memory skills. A live Q&A will follow.
This program will begin at 1 pm and will be held via Zoom. Registration is required. For more information or to register, click here.
