The Westchester Land Trust (WLT) has announced the permanent protection of 63 acres in North Castle, Westchester County. WLT worked in partnership with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the Town of North Castle to conserve this property, which is expected to eventually be opened to the public as a nature preserve.
The property is part of a significant forest block that includes The Nature Conservancy’s Eugene and Agnes Meyer Nature Preserve and Butler Memorial Sanctuary, as well as the drinking water supply lands of Byram Lake Reservoir owned by Mount Kisco.
