The Clermont State Historic Site in Columbia County, NY has announced their scheduled holiday events for December, including American Girl Day at Clermont; a lecture on Chancellor Robert R. Livingston; a Winter Wonderland Story Hour; and a talk with Janet Livingston Montgomery.
On December 4th at 11 am the Historic Site will host American Girl Day at Clermont. Attendees can bring their 18-inch dolls and meet with dolls styled to represent the real girls of Clermont, make a craft, and leave with a goody bag of treats. All kids must be accompanied by an adult and all adults must be accompanied by a child. There is a charge of $10 for adults and $5 for children.
On December 5th at 2 pm, Clermont curator will present a lecture entitled “The Chancellor’s War” which will explore the role that Chancellor Robert R. Livingston played in the American Revolution. This event is free.
A Winter Wonderland Story Hour, featuring winter-themed stories, will be held on December 11th at 2 pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult and all adults must be accompanied by a child. This event is free.
On December 12th at 2 pm, Clermont will finish their year of programing with “All My Boyfriends are Dead.” Attendees will visit with Janet Livingston Montgomery and try to answer the age-old question; was she cursed in love? This event is free.
All programs will take place in the Historic Site’s visitors’ center. Registration is required and can be completed online.
