The Twelfth Annual Garlic Festival at the Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market in Warren County, NY will be held Friday, October 8th, from 3 to 6 pm. The event features many varieties of certified organic and naturally grown garlic for sale for planting and consumption.
Caldwell Country Farm will feature Caramelized Onion and Roasted Garlic Jam, Garlic Fudge and Black Garlic – a concentrated form of garlic; Grá den Talún Farm will offer unusual varieties of garlic; and Hope Valley Farm will demonstrate garlic tying and bring Pickled Garlic Scapes and Garlic Pesto.
Activities include a Garlicky Food Contest with free sampler plates; a children’s craft workshop by Megan Reynolds (Bee-ingARTSY); live music in the gazebo by George Parrott; a tote bag giveaway; and an opportunity to win $20 in Farmers’ Market Bucks to spend with vendors.
Horticultural information and recipes will be provided by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Warren County.
