Adirondack North Country Pride Event Oct 2nd

celebrate unityAdirondack North Country Gender Alliance will host the sixth annual LGBTQ Pride Event on Saturday October 2nd from noon to 4 pm in Plattsburgh

This family friendly event is intended to bring members of the LGBTQI+ community and its allies together to stand side by side to promote diversity.

The event will take begin with a parade beginning at noon (line-up begins at 11 am) for a march from the US Oval in Plattsburgh to Trinity Park where there will be musical performances, a variety of guest speakers, and more entertainment.

Participants are encouraged to create floats or marching groups. Registration of marching groups and floats is required by emailing ANCGA at the address below. Organizers are especially looking for marching bands and music for the parade route.

Plattsburgh Mayor Chris Rosenquest has offered to marry any couple regardless of orientation or gender identity and to offer existing married couples the opportunity to renew their vows at this year’s event. Pre-registration is required with the names of those wishing to participate in marriage or renewal of vows.  All legal documents must be obtained prior to the ceremony. Email to ensure availability.

Adirondack North Country Gender Alliance is encouraging attendees to physically distant as much as possible.
