The Hadley-Lake Luzerne Historical Society will host “The Adirondack Mountain Club’s role of Preserving our Adirondack Treasures,” a program by Michael Barrett, Esq., Executive Director of Adirondack Mountain Club set for Thursday August 5th.
With the approaching 100th Anniversary of the Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK), Executive Director Michael Barrett will discuss the accomplishments for Adirondack conservation and land preservation which were driven by this important non-profit membership organization.
Barrett will discuss the environmental advocacy which makes the group effective in helping to protect public land holdings from commercial development for future generations.
This program will begin at 7 pm and will be held at Benjamin C. Butler Park, Lake Avenue, in Lake Luzerne.
