The America250 Foundation has released its new website and marketing campaign, featuring a countdown to the 250th anniversary of America’s formation (the Semiquincentennial, July 4, 2026), and results from a survey measuring Americans’ sentiments on a variety of topics facing the country.
From Times Square and the Lincoln Tunnel in New York to the Walt Whitman Bridge in Philadelphia, America250’s campaign will be displayed at more than 4,559 locations across Boston, Charleston, New York and Philadelphia, four cities that played key roles in the American Revolution and were singled out for particular focus by Congressional legislation for the commemoration. This includes airport terminals in all four cities, Uber cartops, and social media ads.
Nationally, a new public service announcement (PSA) showing momentous cultural touchpoints in American history will air on Comcast NBCUniversal networks throughout the summer, and original content will be posted across America250’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter handles.
The campaign coincides with the release of a new survey that gauges American sentiments about their mindset on the United States, its history, and their outlook on the future of the country.
The campaign is among the first public efforts of the federal Semiquincentennial Commission, created in 2016, and the America250 Foundation, the official nonprofit partner and operational arm of the United States Semiquincentennial Commission.
New York Almanack will be tracking Semiquincentennial news and events in New York State here.
