The Warren County Historical Society has announced it is accepting nominations for the second annual John D. Austin Jr. Contribution to History Award, to be presented at the Annual Meeting on January 22nd, 2022 (11 am to 2 pm) at the Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center in Lake George.
The criteria for the recipient are: demonstrated dedication to Warren County history and/genealogy through professional work or volunteer service; or, authoring, publishing, or editing of a book or article about the Warren County region that brings national attention to our area; or, contribution to the preservation or restoration of documents pertinent to Warren County history or genealogy; or, significant contribution to furthering the promotion of historical institutions or museums in the Warren County region.
Hon. John D. Austin Jr. of Queensbury, who was a noted judge, attorney, historian, genealogist, and founding member of the Society.
