Take A Bite: Glens Falls Weekly Food Fest Returns

June 30, 2021 by Editorial Staff Leave a Comment

Take A Bite food festivalThe Glens Falls Collaborative has announced the summer food festival Take a Bite will begin on Wednesday, July 7th, and will run every Wednesday through August 25th, from 5 to 7 pm in Downtown Glens Falls.

Take A Bite is family-friendly event in Downtown Glens Falls that showcases the area’s restaurants. Restaurants take to the sidewalks to offer affordably priced “small plate” menu items. There are currently close to 20 vendors registered to take part.

In addition to food, there will be live entertainment by local musicians, on Ridge and Glen Streets and at the Queensbury Hotel, and members of the Adirondack Theatre Festival will perform in the alleyway next to the Wood Theater. The Crandall Public Library will also hold a “Story Walk” for children and families.

The schedule of musicians performing on Ridge and Glen Streets includes:

7/7: Brian Fitzgerald (Ridge St.) and Tame Pacific (Glen St.)
7/14: Kelly and Son (Ridge St.) and Brian Fitzgerald and Drew Wardle (Glen St.)
7/21: Erin Powers (Ridge St.) and Matt LaFarr and Chris Baird (Glen St.)
7/28: Drew Wardle (Ridge St.) and Harmonic Duo (Glen St.)
8/4: Thom Grover (Ridge St.) and Luc and Alicia Van Scoy (Glen St.)
8/11: Alicia Bautista (Ridge St.) and The Tradition (Glen St.)
8/18: Mark Rabin (Ridge St.) and Lucas Garrett Duo (Glen St.)
8/25: Keep Summer Safe (Ridge St.) and The Switch (Glen St.)
