“Historic Maps of Warren County” showcases Giordano’s research into the history of map-making, cartographers, and mapping technology in the region over the past three centuries. Maps of many kinds are featured, including survey, topographical, highway, and Sanborn – as well as maps by renowned cartographers Colvin, Stoddard, Burr, and Chase.
Dominic Giordano is a senior at North Warren Central School and will be attending Skidmore College in the fall. He has participated in the Society’s student internship program for the past semester. The exhibit will continue until September.
The opening reception will take place from 4 to 6 pm at the Warren County Historical Society, located at 50 Gurney Lane, Queensbury. The Historical Society is open to the public Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 am to 4 pm, Fridays 10 am to 4 pm, and Saturdays 11 am to 2 pm.
