The Bloomingdale Neighborhood History Group has announced that tours of the Upper West Side with historian and author Jim Mackin are set to return on Wednesday, June 30th at 6 pm. The walks are held monthly and walks vary from month to month. The June walk will start out from Straus Park at 107th Street and West End Avenue.
During the tour, Mackin will show where the notable people of the area lived, share some fascinating, often little- known stories about them.
Jim Mackin is the founder of Weekday Walks, which offers tours every Wednesday morning, covering a different part of the city each time. Coming up in June are walks around Marcus Garvey Park and City Hall Park. More information on the Weekday Walks can be found online.
