ADKX 2021 Season Events Kicking Off

adirondack experience logoAdirondack Experience, The Museum on Blue Mountain Lake (ADKX), has announced its 2021 schedule of events, including a members-only opening day on May 28th, and the full opening on July 1st.

Upcoming events include:

ADKX Virtual Opening Celebration on Wednesday, May 26th: A virtual opening celebration of the museum’s new exhibition “From Wilderness to Warfront: the Adirondacks and World War II,” honoring the Adirondack men and women who supported the country’s war effort at home and abroad.

Members-Only Opening Day on Friday, May 28th: ADKX will open its doors to members only, weekends (Fri-Sun) through the month of June.

APA@50 Symposium on Tuesday, June 22nd: A free, online, daylong webinar focused on the APA’s half-century of guiding both Forest Preserve management and private land development in the Adirondack Park.

Opening Day for the Public on Thursday, July 1st: ADKX will welcome new and returning visitors to its campus and exhibitions.

Adirondack Artisan Festival on Saturday, July 24th: Showcasing unique items made by artists and artisans from the 12 Adirondack counties.

Benefit Gala, Auction and Harold K. Hochschild Award on Saturday, July 31st: Join the Adirondack Experience Board of Trustees for an evening under the stars.

Plein Air Party on Saturday, August 7th: The museum campus will serve as inspiration to artists on a day dedicated to plein air painting.

Mohawk and Abenaki Art Market on Saturday-Sunday, August 28th-29th: See the rich cultural heritage of the Mohawk and Abenaki people through traditional and modern adaptations of artwork.

Rustic Furniture Fair on Saturday-Sunday, Semptember 11th-12th: Interpretations of classic and contemporary rustic art presented in handcrafted furniture, furnishings, and Adirondack paintings.

FallFest on Sunday, Semptember 26th: Celebrate fall at the Adirondack Experience with traditional pastimes.
