A Horse’s Life: Staatsburgh’s New Outdoor Children’s Walks

Staatsburgh estate horsesThe Staatsburgh State Historic Site is hosting “A Horse’s Life,” an outdoor walk for children set for Sunday, April 11th, May 16th, 23rd and 30th at 2 pm.

The interpretive walk will feature a hike on the grounds of Staatsburgh where attendees can learn the many roles that horses played on a Gilded Age estate, from spirited thoroughbreds to sturdy work horses and gentle cart ponies.

The walk will be approximately 45 minutes in length and cover about one mile of fairly level terrain. Reservations are required.

The Staatsburgh State Historic Site is located at 75 Mills Mansion Drive, Road 1, Staatsburg. For more information or to register, click here.
