Holiday on the Hudson at Hadley and Lake Luzerne is set to kick off on Saturday, December 5th. This year’s celebration will feature Drive-by and Drive-thru activities throughout the community.
Visitors will be able to share a favorite holiday story with St. Nicolas at the Gailey Hill one-room school house, and write a wish to be placed on the Hadley-Luzerne Historical Society’s Christmas Wish Tree. A paper chain of wishes will wrap around the tree on the porch of the Kinnear Museum, 52 Main Street, Lake Luzerne. Books by local authors, wooden games and toys will be available for purchase at the historical society’s open-air Holiday gift and book tent.
From 4 to 6:30 pm, the HL-PTSA is set to host a Holiday Lights with Santa Drive-Thru Festival and Pasta Dinner To-go at the Hadley-Luzerne SMT Elementary School. Pasta dinners will be available for pickup by emailing hlptsa@hlcs.org.
The Wesleyan Church, (route 9N) will host The Gift of Christmas: A Drive-Thru Live Nativity on December 12th at 5 pm, with stations depicting live scenes from the original Christmas Story outside the church building. More information is available online.
On the third weekend of December Drive-by Holiday Lights will be on display in the neighborhoods of Rockwell Street Park, Hadley and Col Butler Park, and Lake Luzerne, as well as other businesses and homes in the community.
The Rockwell Falls Presbyterian Church, located on Bridge Street in Lake Luzerne will host a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on December 24th. There will be two services at 2 and 7 pm.
