The program features Polish violin virtuosa Kinga Augustyn highlighting the violin works of composers Grażyna Bacewicz, J.S. Bach, Fritz Kreisler, Niccolò Paganini, and Astor Piazzolla. Presented repertoire spans from Baroque to more contemporary selections, and features commentary by Auqustyn.
Last seen at The Sembrich in 2016, Kinga Augustyn is a Polish violinist based in New York City. Her career has taken her across the globe, to Europe, America and Asia. She has performed in Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, among many others. Kinga began playing violin at age 7 then went on to receive her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Juilliard School and her Doctorate from Stony Brook University.
