Tri-Valley Area One Room Schools Programs

Neversink School, 1913The Time and the Valleys Museum has announced a virtual program, Tri-Valley Area One Room Schools, set for Sunday, September 13th at 2 pm.

The program includes several short presentations, including My One Room School Experience, with Town of Neversink Historian Carol Smythe and Archives Assistant Wanda Terwilliger, who will share their experiences of going to a one room school.

Lynn Priebe retired teacher and Museum Trustee will present a program on the development of the “common school” in NYS and the evolution of teacher education.

Phyllis (Penny) Coombe, retired Tri Valley Teacher, will discuss the development of the Tri-Valley District from a union free district to a modern k-12 school.
