Saratoga Race Course Virtual Tour Saturday

Clubhouse Entrance Gate_Saratoga Race Course_Bosshart_CroppedSaratoga Springs Preservation Foundation has announced a free virtual tour of the historic Saratoga Race Course, set for Saturday, August 8th.

This Travers Day tour, led by Executive Director Samantha Bosshart, will highlight the history and architecture of the oldest sports venue in the country. This behind-the-scenes tour includes interviews with Jack Knowlton, the Operating Manager of Sackatoga Stable, owner of 2020 Belmont Stakes winner Tiz the Law; David O’Rourke, Chief Executive Officer & President of the New York Racing Association; Matt Hurff, preservation architect consultant for New York Racing Association and partner at Frost Hurff Architects; and more.  The virtual tour will last approximately 90 minutes.

The live-streamed program is available through the Foundation’s Facebook Page and will begin at 9:30 am. It is not necessary to have a Facebook account to watch the tour. In addition, children’s activities will be provided by The Children’s Museum at Saratoga and National Museum of Racing & Hall of Fame for download on the Foundation’s website. Following the event, a recording of the tour will be made available on the Foundation’s website and Facebook page.
