New Documentary: Journeys Through the Finger Lakes

Journeys Through the Finger LakesThe new documentary by WXXI Public Media and the Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance, Journeys Through the Finger Lakes, celebrates a region deeply rooted in history, agriculture, social change, and sustainability.

Journeys Through the Finger Lakes uses drone footage and on-the-ground shots to share stories of the people, places, and businesses that influenced the Finger Lakes region.

The documentary visits more than a dozen locations including: National Women’s Hall of Fame, Susan B. Anthony House, Harriet Tubman House, Ganondagan, Watkins Glen, F.L.X. Table, Glenn Curtis Museum, Cornell University, and the Finger Lakes Land Trust.

More information on Journeys Through the Finger Lakes can be found online. The documentary will be shown Wednesday, August 12th at 6 pm and Friday, August 14th at 10 am on WXXI-CREATE (DT 21.3/cable 1276) and Sunday, August 16th at 5 pm on WXXI-WORLD (DT 21.2/cable 1275).
