View To Host Sketching Workshop Around Old Forge

July 14, 2020 by Editorial Staff Leave a Comment

urban sketching provided by ViewView, the Center for Arts and Culture in Old Forge, has announced a two-session workshop, Urban Sketching, with View interns Grace and Emma.

The first session is set for July 17th, from 3 to 5 pm. The second session will take place via Zoom on July 24th, from 3 to 5 pm.

Urban Sketching is a fun drawing technique for artists of any skill level, only a sketchbook and drawing utensil required.

In the first session of this workshop, attendees will meet at View, and then walk Old Forge, drawing along the way. Emma and Grace will discuss the history and importance of Urban Sketching and how to integrate the technique into everyday life to hone observational drawing skills while also creating a visual diary.

The second session of the workshop will be hosted over Zoom, where attendees will share drawings and stories from the week.

View is located at 3273 State Route 28 in Old Forge. More information can be found on their website.
