National Historic Preservation Advocacy Week is set to return March 9-12 at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar in Washington, DC. This is an annual opportunity to have a mass impact on policy makers in Washington in support of important historic preservation programs and sound preservation policy.
Preservation Action and the National Conference State Historic Preservation Officers organize the industry’s Advocacy Week each year, bringing over 250 preservationists to Washington, DC to promote sound federal preservation policy and programs.
Advocacy Week registration includes in-depth training and policy briefings and white papers from an array of preservation and policy professionals. Ticketed events offer additional meetings with elected officials, their staff, and a national network of preservation advocates.
Student and recent graduates interested in federal preservation policy and advocacy are encouraged to apply for the 2020 Advocacy Scholars Program. Those selected will be invited to attend National Historic Preservation Advocacy Week and receive complimentary registration and a travel stipend.
