The Historical Society of Rockland County has announced the 44th annual holiday exhibit, The Dollhouses and Miniature Art of Catherine Cooke, is on display until March 1st, 2020.
This year’s Holiday Exhibition features a selection of Catherine’s Small Wonders: custom dollhouses decorated and furnished down to the tiniest details, from period wallpaper, area rugs, and lamps to food in the kitchen.
Catherine Cooke started designing dollhouses twenty years ago, after retiring from a successful career in finance. Miniatures soon became her passion, and over the years she has designed and created dollhouses for many families, with a focus on the children.
The exhibit is on display Wednesdays-Fridays, ad Sundays, from noon to 4 pm. Admission is $5/person. Tours for groups of 10 or more available by appointment.
The Historical Society of Rockland County is located at 20 Zukor Road, New City. More information is available on their website, by calling (845) 634-9629, or by emailing info@rocklandhistory.org.
