The Hubbardton Battlefield State Historic Site in Hubbardton, Vermont is set to hold their Fourth Sunday program on September 22nd. Site interpreter and long-time Revolutionary War reenactor Bob Franzoni will lead a guided trek around the battlefield from 1:30 to 4:30 pm.
During the hike, Franzoni will point out locations of the main points of the battle, and discuss military tactics and key personalities. Attendees will also be able to view a replica soldier’s kit.
Admission is $3 for adults and free for children under 15. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes or boots and dress for the weather.
The Hubbardton Battlefield is the site of the only Revolutionary War battle fought in what would become Vermont. The historic site is located at 5696 Monument Hill Road six miles off VT Route 30 in Hubbardton, Vermont, or seven miles off exit 5 on US Route 4 in Castleton. Carefully follow the signs.
