The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation’s next Summer Stroll, The Good Life, North Broadway with Samantha Bosshart, SSPF Executive Director, is set for Sunday, August 18th at 10:30 am.
Tour the famed corridor lined with grand Queen Annes built by Saratoga’s most prominent figures such as Lucy Skidmore Scribner, Fred Cluett, William B. Gage, and Senator Brackett. The tour meets at the northwest corner of North Broadway and Van Dam Street in front of Witt Construction, 563 North Broadway.
Summer Strolls are offered every Sunday through September 1st, and begin at 10:30 am. The cost per tour is $7 for SSPF members and $10 for non-members. Reservations are encouraged, but not necessary.
Next week’s Summer Stroll of Saratoga’s Historic West Side is on Sunday, August 25th at 10:30 am. George DeMers will lead guests through the restored historic West Side, also known as Little Dublin, to learn about Saratoga’s Irish and Italian immigrants who helped shape the history of this unique district. Tour is sponsored by TOGA HERITAGE.
The Foundation will host the second special presentation about Broadway on Monday, August 19th at The Adelphi Hotel, 365 Broadway. Carol Godette will present “Fruit of the Looms, Wranglers, & LPs: Broadway in 1976” which highlights Broadway in 1976 and the many stores downtown. Tickets for this program are $10 for SSPF Members and $12 for non-members. Space is limited for this event, which is hosted by The Adelphi Hotel.
