Shipwrecks of Lake Ontario Talk At Sackets Harbor

shipwrecks of lake ontarioShipwrecks of Lake Ontario: A Journey of Discovery, a presentation by Great Lakes shipwreck explorer Jim Kennard, has been set for Thursday August 1st, 2019 at 6:30 pm, at the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site.

Kennard’s presentation includes stories of long-lost shipwrecks and their underwater exploration. 

Kennard’s new book, Shipwrecks of Lake Ontario: A Journey of Discovery, was published by the National Museum of the Great Lakes. The book includes several paintings by Roland Stevens and underwater imagery captured by Roger Pawlowski. Books will be available for sale at the presentation.

The program is expected to last one hour, and be followed by a Q&A and book signing.

Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site is located at 504 W Main Street, Sackets Harbor.
