Edelweiss Schuhplattlers of the Utica Maennerchor are set to perform several traditional German/Austrian folk dances at the Oneida County History Center (OCHC) on Saturday, May 11th at 1 pm.
The public is invited to watch the dancers and may be offered the chance to learn a few steps.
Edelweiss Schuhplattlers of the Utica Maennerchor is a German/Austrian folk dance group that was founded in 1976. The group consists of children, teens, and adults who perform at German clubs and festivals throughout the region.
In 2018 they appeared at the Bavarian Festival (Utica), Sommerfest (Binghamton), Oktoberfest (Syracuse), & Afternoon in Bavaria Fest (Albany). The dancers are instructed Gracie Schell and co-managed by Gracie Schell and Karl Wuerslin.
