Schoharie Co Historical Spring Meeting at Old Stone Fort

old stone fort museumThe Annual Schoharie County Historical Society Spring Program Meeting has been set for Sunday, April 28 at 2 pm at the Old Stone Fort Museum, located at 145 Fort Road in Schoharie. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

Following a brief business meeting in the museum’s Badgley Annex, meeting participants will then be invited to tour the Old Stone Fort Museum and receive an update on the site’s progress over the last 12 months.

Schoharie County Historical Society Outreach Director Melinda McTaggart will also share about the numerous new and returning programs and initiatives scheduled during 2019 in celebration of the historical society and museum’s 130th Anniversary.

Following the museum tour and update, participants will be invited back to the Badgley Museum Annex for refreshments.

The Old Stone Fort Museum Complex will celebrate the grand opening of its 130th Anniversary year on Saturday, May 4, with a full day of living history activities and programming and an official ribbon cutting ceremony.

The Schoharie County Historical Society operates the Old Stone Fort Museum Complex in Schoharie, publishes the semi-annual Historical Review of county history, and organizes lectures, programs and historical events throughout the year.
