The Fraunces Tavern Museum has announced a walking tour led by licensed New York City Tour Guide Fred Cookingham, set for Saturday, April 13th and Sunday, April 14th from 11 am to 1 pm. Boston was not the only Colonial city to have its own ‘tea party’ in revolutionary times. Many seaport cities, including New York, had their own rebellions.
This tour will help attendees envision New York’s 1774 waterfront and discover why the city was so late in the game to revel in patriotic spirit.
Ticket purchase for this walking tour includes complimentary Museum admission. Admission is $15 for museum members, $20 for the general public.
Frederick Cookinham has been a licensed New York City tour guide for 21 years. He holds a BA in American History from Cortland State and an MA from Brooklyn College. He has led tours for the Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership, the New-York Historical Society, and many other groups.
Fraunces Tavern Museum is located at 54 Pearl Street, New York, NY.
