I look forward to this statue being erected. It is looking overdue. However, it would be better if it were installed on private property. There is controversy already about a statue of Stanton and Susan B. Anthony planned for NYC. Part of the concern is over racist comments by Stanton. It will be much more difficult to remove the statue in the future if it were installed on private property.
