The next Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation Summer Stroll, “The Good Life: North Broadway,” is set for Sunday, August 19th at 10:30 am, and will be led by the Foundation’s Executive Director, Samantha Bosshart.
Participants will tour the famed corridor lined with grand Queen Anne buildings by Saratoga’s most prominent figures such as Lucy Skidmore Scribner, Fred Cluett, William B. Gage, and Senator Brackett. The tour, sponsored by Kristie & Tom Roohan of Roohan Realty, meets at the northwest corner of North Broadway and Van Dam Street in front of Witt Construction.
Summer Strolls are offered every Sunday through September 2nd. All Sunday morning tours start at 10:30 am, last approximately 90 minutes, and take place rain or shine. The cost per tour is $5 for SSPF members and $8 for non-members. Guests may buy a ticket for four tours and receive the fifth free. Reservations are encouraged, but not necessary.
Next Sunday, August 26th at 10:30 am, is Historic Fifth & Madison Avenues led by Debbie Studwell. Learn about the architecture and historical development of this important neighborhood adjacent to the Saratoga Race Course. This tour is sponsored by Impressions of Saratoga.
