Orange Co: Rev War Living History Day at Hathorn House

Hathorn HouseOn Saturday, October 7th, from noon to 3 pm, the Friends of Hathorn House will honor the legacy of General John Hathorn and his militia on the lawn at his historic home, located at 21 Hathorn Road, in Warwick, Orange County, NY.

Owners Sylwia Kubasiak and Arek Kwapinski will host the Friends’ living history group and members of the Navasing Long Rifles to show aspects of life in the Warwick Valley during the Revolutionary War. Visitors will also be able see the transformation of the exterior of the house from its state of near ruin to restored. 

The public is invited to this free event celebrating the first year of bringing this important historic site back to its former glory.

For more information email hathornhouse@gmail.com. Friends of Hathorn House is a nonprofit historical society dedicated to Hathorn and the Revolutionary War in the Warwick Valley. Rain date for the event is Sunday, October 8.
