Triple Crown Events at the National Museum of Racing

National Museum of Racing and Hall of FameThe National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame has announced a series of Triple Crown events for the 2017 season.

On Saturday, April 29, 2017 the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will host Countdown to the Triple Crown. Hosted by local author and racing historian Michael Veitch, racing experts Tom Amello and Jeff Carle will be on hand to offer analysis and predictions for the 143rd running of the Kentucky Derby and answer questions from the audience about the Triple Crown series. Guests will receive a complimentary issue of the Triple Crown preview edition of The Blood-Horse, featuring past performances, while supplies last. The program will begin at 1 pm and is open to the public and free to attend.

On Saturday, May 6 the Kentucky themed Derby Party Fundrasier will feature samplings of local brews and spirits, as well as signature Kentucky inspired dishes from local restaurants. Guests will enjoy live entertainment in the Hall of Fame before a live airing of the 2017 Kentucky Derby. All proceeds from this year’s event support the Museum’s educational mission and allow for exhibits and programs all year round. Early Bird rates on sale through April 28. The final two races of the Triple Crown (Preakness Stakes: May 20, Belmont Stakes: June 10) will be streamed on the theater screen in the Hall of Fame. Free to attend, there will be food available for purchase from 9 Miles East Farm, beverages available for purchase provided by Saratoga Eagle, a race-day inspired 50/50 raffle and a silent auction. These events will take place from 5:30 to 7 pm.

On Saturday, June 10, The National Museum of Racing has reserved a coach bus and purchased admissions for the 149th running of the Belmont Stakes. The trip includes bus fare and admission to the Grandstand/Clubhouse. The tickets do NOT include seats. 35 people must sign up by May 22nd for the trip to happen. You will be notified and fully refunded if we do not have enough people signed up. The bus will depart for Belmont Park from the Museum parking lot at 7 am, and will leave Belmont Park immediately after the Belmont Stakes.     Please provide the physical address of the museum. I might be old fashioned, but I still feel that information is essential in an announcement. Thank you.
