Last year your contributions helped The New York History Blog promote news and events related to the state’s history, foster a shared mission among the history community, and provide announcements of upcoming conferences and exhibits, new publications and online resources – and so much more.
It’s time to start our fundraising campaign for 2015 – and we’re counting on you!
Highlights from the past year include:
– Our focus on Women’s History Month, and other stories that promote the upcoming centennial of women winning the right to vote in New York State in 1917.
– Our successful efforts to revive New York State History Month.
– Our reporting on important stories for the New York State History Community, including the proposed NYS History Commission, the loss of the replica ship Half Moon, the hiring in virtual secrecy of a new State Archivist, and more.
Again this year we’re hoping to raise $12,000. If
98 94 more people make a recurring contribution of just $10 per month, we can end this campaign now.
If you enjoy The New York History Blog, and find it useful, please become a recurring contributor – or just make a one-time contribution.
