Individuals and organizations desiring to present programs at the annual conference of The New York State Council for the Social Studies and The New York Social Studies Supervisory Association at the Hilton in Albany on March 27-29 can now do so online.
The theme of this year’s confernce is Linking Communities Together: Academic, Civic and Cultural. In order to submit a proposal you will first need to become a member at a cost of $25 by clicking here. For each program delivered, presenters will receive $25 to cover personal expenses (travel, copying, etc.) related to program delivery.

The New York State Council for the Social Studies, founded in 1938, is a professional association of teachers and supervisors at the elementary, secondary, college, and university levels. Membership is open to all persons who teach, supervise, develop curricular, engage in research, or are otherwise concerned with social studies education.
The New York Social Studies Supervisory Association was organized in 1973 to function autonomously within the framework of the New York State Council for the Social Studies. Membership is open to those NYSCSS members with “responsibilities for social studies curriculum and instructional programs.”
